Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on September 5, 1973 is an American actress. McGowan's
debut in film was the comedic Encino Man (1992), however, she received more
attention due to her part in The Doom Generation (1995) in which she was
awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. Her
breakthrough came in the horror film Scream (1996) and then headlined the films
Going All the Way (1997) Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999).
McGowan was most well-known for her part in Charmed which was a supernatural
drama series on WB from 2001 until 2006. McGowan also appeared in Quentin
Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007), for
which she was nominated for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and for the Scream
Award as Best Scream Queen. Her debut album, Planet 9, was released in 2018. It
was followed by a repackaging of Planet 9 in 2020. In 2017, Time named McGowan
one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year, because she
spoke out about sexual harassment and assault particularly with respect to the
Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases as well as the Me Too movement. Brave is
her memoir. Citizen Rose was her documentary series. Both of these were
released in 2018.
