Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actor from America. She is best known for her role in the role of Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / The Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. Also, she appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian as well as a role as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting while at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also participated in amateur and professional theatre productions. Swallow obtained a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She continued her studies for an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She appeared in two world premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's The play Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. In 2010, she won the Falstaff Award as best female actor for her performance in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed with Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show is about the hilarious mishaps and adventures of Jac and Swallow who face a myriad of challenges in their lives with various degrees of success.
