Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23rd, 1970 was an American actor. She was Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also starred as Kyra in Charmed (2004) and as Kendall Casablanca's role in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter has Spanish, French, and German descent (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. She was also part of a song and dance troupe that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter relocated with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age 15 years old. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor as well as a videostore clerk and property manager. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles. She was swimming in San Diego with two male acquaintances at the time that Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex-police officer from San Diego and serial rapist who was attacking them, swarmed the group. The two of them, Henry Hubbard Jr. and her friends were shot during the battle. They both survived. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to a 56-year imprisonment for a series of rapes, robberies. Carpenter brought Hubbard his flashlight from the police station to the beach. He left it on the beach. The flashlight turned out to be an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
