Summer Bishil Bio

 Summer Bishil was raised in Pasadena (California). Her family and she left for Europe when she was only three years old. Summer attended American as well as British schools as her family was living overseas. She returned to Pasadena shortly before her birthday, which was on 14th September. Summer, who had been infatuated with the idea that she would eventually become an actor from the age five, took her first acting class at the age of 14. Nine months later, she signed with an agent and an agent and started to follow her goal full-time. In her spare time she attends college and is studying for her degree. The actress was named one of the "Ten Actors To Watch" by Variety (2007). Nominee for Best Actress – Spirit Award. Bishil began acting classes at the age of fourteen. In just one year she was signed with an agent and manager. Bishil began her career with the Nickelodeon television show Just for Kicks. After that she was offered a contract with a manager and agency. Her first big break was in Alan Ball's 2007 film Towelhead. It is an adaptation of the novel with the same name. Slate critic Dana Stevens said, "Her performance is the most genuine thing in a film that, despite its best intentions, feels thoroughly phony and a little embarrassing, much like an extended PSA about inappropriate touching." Bob Strauss writes for many Los Angeles newspapers and states that Bishil "...is the best natural film actress of all time. In an article published on September 12, Los Angeles Times review, Gary Goldstein stated that Summer Bishil is a "...newcomer who is a newcomer, delivers an intense and thrilling performance as Jasira. "In 2009, she filmed Wayne Kramer's film, Crossing Over, starring Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta and Ashley Judd, a portrayal which received some praise from Associated Press's Jay Reiner. She was chosen to play Azula in M. Night Shyamalan’s 2010 film The Last Airbender. This was to be the primary theme of the planned yet unproduced sequel.
