Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. Her most well-known role is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she was twice awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC series Whitney (2011)-2013 and ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on 12 May in 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant for the United States Navy, and her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised in a family which moved frequently, including the cities of Washington, D.C., Arizona as well as Japan. She followed in the footsteps her father and grandfather by taking classes in architecture, painting and drawing from a young age. Although she pursued the visual arts throughout her life, she developed a passion for acting. While in college she was introduced to the world of contemporary theater. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn who was a student, wanted to go into theater after being encouraged by her acting instructor. She attempted to make her mark by working in different ancillary positions in D.C. theater. She was able get certain roles in local theater productions. However, she still needed to find odd jobs to survive. In order to pay for the expenses, she took on parts in short industrial instructional films. She soon was able to land roles on television productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very humorous and sarcastic" like her idol Bea Arthur. Most of these parts were then cancelled after only two or three seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, a lawyer and the love-interest of the title Jimmy McGill/Saul Bestman (Bob Odenkirk).
