Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born on November 8 the 8th of November, 1985) is a Canadian actress from Canada. She is best known for her role as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science-fiction series Continuum. Recently, she appeared as Sandy on the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is from Polish descent and spent a year in Poland in the 9th grade. She lived with her aunt in Poland, and was a student at Jelenia Gola school. She went on to attend Vancouver Film School. She started her acting career at the age of 10 after her father introduced her to Pulp Fiction. In 2002 she made her first acting appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She also made a brief appearance on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she played the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. She was in Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film in the year 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a regular on the series) in the drama television series Caprica along with Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Later, she appeared in the show Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as Emily in Jane Espenson's second series of her romantic comedy web show Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the role as Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. The Green Inferno, although it was shot in 2012, was released in the world in 2015. Apanowicz was cast to as Angela in Volition which is a science-fiction thriller film. The film was released on February 20, 2020. Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second season Netflix thriller You.
